Digital marketing is a broad industry that can be a very rewarding career with a low barrier to entry. The opportunities for career advancement are endless. You will never be stuck in the same position for too long before the next promotion or pay rise.

Unlike some careers, there is no singular path that you need to take. It is an exciting industry to work in with a plethora of possibilities to keep challenging you.

Interviewing for a digital marketing role can be quite daunting, particularly your first one. Don’t get disheartened if you are not successful with the interview. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get ready for the next one. With each experience, you will be more equipped for the next!

Does School Matter Once You Finish College?

The answer to this question about school is yes, but it’s worth taking a deeper dive to discover what school really means once you have graduated. The assumption for many is that school and more specifically school achievements will no longer matter after you graduate from higher learning.

Due to this a lot of students won’t bother mentioning their achievements from school on their resume. Certainly, they don’t want it to seem like they’re too focused on the past. But there are a few reasons why school does still matter.

What are your thoughts on job search in general? I stumbled on Aditya’s LinkedIn post a while back and smiled so wide after reading it. I love how LinkedIn shares posts of people who you aren’t connected to simply because your friend seemed to like the person’s post. Isn’t that the beauty of social media? I was happy to connect with him afterward!

Aditya Vyas is a design and detail orientated mechanical engineer who came to Canada on a Study Permit. He completed his Master’s degree from the University of Windsor in Mechanical with Automotive specialization.

The thing is, the bulk of emails received from immigrants is related to finding a job, so when I saw Aditya’s post, I immediately felt the need to share his story here on Zinny Factor because what better way than hearing from someone in a similar experience as you?
