Do you often think of some of the life problems we face as humans, better put adults? We all go through some form of obstacles in life.

Growing up, we watched cartoons that ended with: “and they lived happily ever after…” At least, I did. Naturally, we bought into the idea of never having any worries. We grew older, faced and still face a number of life challenges and find it somewhat difficult to navigate. But this shouldn’t be.

Do you think that if we were taught from a young age that adversity was a common thing with living we’d have learned to solve life issues easily?

As human beings, we are always looking to solve problems which have led to a number of inventions like electricity, internet, technology, etc. However, what’s most challenging is solving problems with our personal lives and dealing with our minds.

Book Review: The Obstacle is The Way by Ryan Holiday

In this article, I’ll review The Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday. However, before I begin since this is my first book review, I’ll have to start by giving credit to my mother who thought it wise to take me along with her to the library when I was around 8 years or so.

At the time, she was studying for her masters. This little act has helped shape my life when it comes to areas of self-development even though at the time I was reading Barbie stories.

Even before her rigorous studying days/ months, my mother encouraged active reading by making us exchange books and then we’ll recommend books to each other. She and my father also created a mini-library in our house and I think all these fostered a reading culture in me.

How To Emotionally Prepare For Colder Months As A Worker

The weather is gradually changing and even though I’m not all for it, I realize that nature will take its course. For the time being, I’m still enjoying the weather and rocking lighter clothes while it lasts!

I have a colleague who is in love with Winter and loves it when it snows! Alright, to be fair, it’s usually much warmer when it snows anyway. However, if you are like me, who isn’t in love with colder months then you have to emotionally brace yourself up for what is to come.

Confession time: I don’t like that I have to layer up in countless clothes so that I feel somewhat warm. Or that after I’ve worn hundreds of clothes, I feel heavy and it takes so much time! I certainly don’t like the wind and freezing rain and never enjoyed the days when I had to shovel snow.

Pheeeew! It felt good to clear that out.
