Improve Interview Technique - Zinny Factor

When you’re going for a new job, you need to know how to interview well so that you can impress the people who are talking to you. Becoming an exceptional candidate is something you can do, but it takes some skill and techniques to learn how to interview well. You could look fantastic on paper, but be stilted and awkward in person – it happens.

But you need to be able to put in a good performance and whether you’re using an enhancer to help with your cognitive thinking such as the Bromantane solution, or you’re going to take advice about which tips you could use to put in that great performance. You need to make sure that you’re projecting yourself as the sort of person that the interviewer wants to spend time with and hire. You need to be somebody that they want on the team, and here’s how you can do it. 

  1. Go beyond checking out the company website. You shouldn’t just stop at research in the organization. You need to be able to understand the interviewer as well. Looking at their LinkedIn website can really help, and you can also use Google to find out as much as you can about the person interviewing you. You can use your interview to congratulate them if they have any accolades or anything they’ve achieved. Not only does it show that you did your research, it shows that you explored the market and the competitors.
  2. Focus on the delivery. When you’re asked a question, you can answer it very easily, but you need to rehearse your presentation. You don’t have to be word-perfect, but you do need to think about the way you hold yourself and where your eyes go when you are answering each of those questions. Being able to put yourself to the bigger picture is important as an interviewee. You need to be consistent with your words and your body language and know your CV by heart.
  3. Make it interactive. You need to make this a conversation, not just a solo performance. Unless your interview is an audition on the stage, you need to make sure that you’re asking as many questions as you’re being asked. You can ask about their business mistakes, or you can ask why the person that you’re taking the spot of is leaving. You could also ask what’s in the future and how they plan to build so that you can see that there’s going to be growth for you, and you’re not going to hit a ceiling.
  4. Be positive. If you think you can do a thing or you think you can’t do a thing, you’re right. That was something that Henry Ford said. If you’re motivated and you’ve done the prep, you can be confident because you have that drive to succeed. If you think you’re not going to do well, you’re probably right there too. You don’t have to be nervous, you just have to practice your interview technique. 
  5. Always follow up. After you’ve had an interview, you should always thank them for seeing you and reiterate how interested you are in them and the role. Review the key points over the interview and ask them how you’ve done. This gives you a chance to mitigate any worries.
