In These Uncertain Times: You Don’t Have To Have It All Figured Out

With people being forced to stay at home these uncertain times, we are beginning to see people take to social media. People need to express themselves and the internet is a good way to social distance while yet feeling closer to people. After all, humans are social animals.

While this has been helpful to many, we’ve also realized how many people are taking to sharing information about their routines and productivity during these uncertain times.

This is a low time for many and it’s reasonable to understand how this might bring down the spirit of someone currently impacted by the pandemic. 7 Things to Do If You’ve Lost Your Job Due to COVID-19

When there is an economic downturn like COVID-19 one of the things most companies do is have a review of their expenses and strategize on how to cut down their expenses. Most often than not this results in cutting down the number of staff for the company.

Most often, self-funded companies might hold off in doing this since many times these are old companies that might have experienced hardship in the past and have planned ahead for the worst-case scenarios. So many people have become unemployed while others fear loosing their jobs as the economy remains affected. Someone mentioned that this is a time when people will remember how they were treated by their employers.

The New Normal: Work From Home

With everything going on in the world today, we’ve had to take a shift and have a new normal: work from home. It’s really encouraging when you have employers that see the value in providing work from home options as a benefit because even though now many of us are forced to work from home to stay safe, it’s not really a new change to some.

This has really helped a couple of people feel more at ease. For workers in companies where having to work from home was never really incorporated into their culture, one can only imagine what these employees are going through and the number of organizational changes that’ll be taking place as we speak.

It’s important for employers to realize that the quality of your work isn’t determined by how often you show up in the office but in your results. Now, more than ever, this whole new experience will certainly prove to many employers that there are advantages to this new normal.

Many companies have no other option but to adopt this approach for their business continuity and it’s only getting even better as most companies now see the benefits.
