It’s July and as usual, I reflected on the past month. I wish you a great month ahead, and a blissful year all the way. I still can’t help but wonder how months have breezed through. I woke up this morning feeling a bit low and somewhat unhappy. Maybe last month didn’t go as I had planned. Maybe I was just stressed out from last week or whatever.
I realized that this is how we all feel every once in awhile and what matters is how we get out of that terrible mood. Thankfully I saw a suggested post via Bloglovin‘ on how to remove negativity from your life for good. Honestly, I can’t explain enough how handy that article was. It just came in at the right time. Take time to read the article and watch the TED talks video by Psychologist Alison Ledgerwood.
Again, I must tell you my shoulder felt lighter, I became happy at almost an instant. It felt like some exhaustion or burden had suddenly left me. It was just simply by me deciding to take my glass as half full or half empty.
It’s July already and I thought it was time for some dose of inspiration because we all need a bit of it every once in awhile. Life has its uncertainties. Sometimes what we never planned for turns out to be what we want, so why should we bother if something we want doesn’t eventually go well as planned?
Here is what I have resorted to doing to keep rejuvenated, you should do so too to stay uplifted and happy at work;
- Write out every good thing that happens to you each day and be grateful.
- Find out the positive out of every negative situation. This kind of goes along with the first.
- Spend more time talking about the good things that have happened than the bad.
- Read at least two inspirational posts every day
- Open your mind to expect whatever challenges life throws at you, it will make you a better person
Here are quotes I thought to share;
“Don’t let your struggle become your identity.”
-unknown
I seem to like this one because most times people tend to complain so much about their problems so much that it becomes a personality and an identity. Try to refrain from this and see how happy you will become.
“When I get lonely these days, I think: So be lonely, Liz. Learn your way around loneliness. Make a map of it. Sit with it, for once in your life. Welcome to the human experience. But never again use another person’s body or emotions as a scratching post for your own unfulfilled yearnings.”
-Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat,Pray,Love
Many times we tend to blame others for what hasn’t gone well. Well, the sooner we realized that we should become accountable for our actions. The happier we will be in the workplace.
This July work towards becoming a better person like you have always wanted.
Wish you the very best!
