Happy Friday to you!
Most people look up to Friday because it’s the start of the weekend and they get to relax, of course depending on the type of job you do. This Friday particularly, I am so excited because this week has been the longest. Gosh! It’s actually funny because we had a public holiday last Monday, and I was off work on Tuesday and Wednesday so I am a bit confused myself. I guess sometimes we just want to rest all day, and when we do that to the extreme, we just can’t wait to get back to work. Sigh. Human wants are insatiable.
Anyway, I am also looking forward to the weekend for other reasons. This coming week is my birth week and since my birthday falls on a work day, I have agreed to have a week long celebration. Thankfully, I have taken that day off work, so I get to do as my heart pleases. I used the word “agree” for a reason.
To get you started, I thought it would be lovely to share another recipe from The Food Disciple. It would be great for you to take to work sometime next week. You have the weekend to think it through, buy ingredients you need if you don’t have any, and catch up on previous recipes shared HERE, HERE, and HERE. What do you think?
Today’s work meal idea is Noodles served with Pan Seared Linguica and boiled Eggs
When The Food Disciple shared this recipe with me, I was reminded of my childhood. Noodles were one of my favorites as a child because it was really easy to make, and I rarely needed the help of an adult. This particular dish caught my attention because it’s so well garnished and would make you feel young at work. Yes, I said that!
What to keep in mind when thinking of your next work meal;
- Preparation of this meal takes barely 20 minutes
- The ingredients are easy to get and quite affordable
- You can go wild with different toppings of your choice
- This recipe will be great for brunch if you are into that
- You will most likely feel younger.lol. I am reiterating it!

Have this with a cold glass of your favorite drink
So what are you waiting for? You have the entire weekend to think this over and totally have this at work next week. Let me know how it goes, I would love to get feedbacks. Please visit The Food Disciple’s blog for the full recipe.
Like I said in this post, I was the Chef Assistant at the Thanksgiving dinner hosted by The Food Disciple and I learned a lot of cooking tips and tricks that I would definitely try for my work meals. If you follow me on Instagram and keep up with my Insta stories you must have seen some of the dishes. It was a great weekend indeed. Here are pictures and this is to let you know that you should absolutely try out The Food Disciple’s recipes shared on this blog as soon as possible!

Gizdodo Biscuit Burger. The filling is made of mainly fried plantain and gizzard sauce.

Thanksgiving Turkey and other dishes. We had Jollof rice (Nigerian delicacy), Chiang Mai Noodles, Oxtail Sauce, Coleslaw, etc.

Peppered chicken with some barbecue sauce
Thank you so much for reading and I wish you a fulfilling and relaxing weekend.
