Learning About Life When Working Abroad

Somethings in life are not for everyone. That has to be the caveat I’ll start with because hurling yourself into a new job in a new country that is saturated with new cultures and ways of doing things is not everyone’s mug of Earl Grey.

It can’t be.

But for those that have decided this is the route they want to go, wow, it is one of the most amazing ways of boosting your career and one of the most exciting ways to grow as a person.

Having the right attitude may only be part of it, but it’s definitely the foundation you need in order to make a success of your decision, especially when you hit that three-month wall.

Ufuoma Okumagba is one of those people that inspires me to actualize my travel goals. Asides the fact that she is a travel blogger and writes really well on travel related topics that I can relate to, she also works full-time.

I like the fact that she’s so down to earth through her posts and always willing to share.

Some years back, my mom ensured that she took my sister and I for our first trip outside the shores of Nigeria. We visited London, UK. That was when I fell in love with travel and vowed to travel often.

I’m Back to Blogging, a ‘Get to Know Me’ Tag +A New YouTube Channel!!!

What better way to get back to blogging than a mini introduction especially for my new blog readers?

I’m sure many of you don’t know one or two things about the person behind the blog, so I thought this will be a great way to introduce or reintroduce myself as the case may be.

Taking a two weeks break was absolutely needed because I wasn’t feeling too inspired to write at some point judging from my recent workload and new responsibilities.

It surely felt like forever. I missed writing, but looking back now, I see that the break was valuable. I found inspiration in many places I wouldn’t have if I didn’t take time off.

Help!!! HR isn’t on my Side

Hello! How has October been so far? Turning out well, I suppose. Thanksgiving was celebrated over the weekend in Canada and yesterday was a public holiday as well. The Americans celebrate it in November. According to one of my professors, the Canadians thought to move up the celebrations to October when the weather is much more favorable and also to prevent the celebrations from clashing with Remembrance day celebrated in November.
