Happy new month to you! Welcome to Zinny Factor. How was October? October was fantastic on my end. It was pumped with so much goodness. I actually failed to realize that October was over and so I am sneaking in this post before the 2nd, Eastern Standard Time. I can’t wait to see how November turns out and I do hope you have a great month. Since this is a new month, I hope to share with you some inspiration for the month, and the rest of the year.

I saw a movie recently titled ” Mr. Church” and I learned so many life lessons. The movie tells the story of a unique friendship that develops when a little girl and her dying mother retain the services of a talented cook. The film stars Eddie Murphy as the title character. He was talented in many other ways. He painted, gardened, played the piano, and read a lot of books. As always, I’ll be sharing with you a few things that inspired me. I watch a lot of movies and series from all genres and I always try to learn one thing or the other. To absorb a message. It’s just a way I try to relax and keep my mind at rest.

Please see below some inspiring messages from the movie;

Show Affection

The movie is said to be inspired by true friendship. I don’t want to be a spoiler, so I wouldn’t go into too many details so that you can go see the movie yourself and enjoy its lessons. Make it a conscious effort this November to show affection and love towards others and you would be surprised how you will be rewarded. Mr. Church, in the movie, was simply doing his job but he later gained immensely from his kind deeds, which was supposed to be just a regular job.

Spend time doing or learning something

Don’t spend your life working so hard and forgetting to do something that gladdens your soul. In a recent article HERE, I talked about how hobbies can help boost your employability. You should totally read it. Discover other things you could do that help relax you from the stress of work or even life. It could be financial issues, the pressure of a new project at work that bothers you, and you can use your new found passion to ease off. I recently discovered that cooking takes my mind away from worries and it works like magic. I understand that some people view their jobs as a passion but I recently saw a quote and it made a lot of sense to me. I also posted it on Instagram.

“To be happy in life, develop at least four hobbies: one to bring you money, one to keep you healthy,one to bring you joy, and one to bring you peace.”

-Stan Jacobs

I have never been someone that loved to cook even though I cook every day. I just felt that cooking was a necessity and that was the major reason why I would even enter the kitchen. But recently I enjoy cooking, trying out new recipes, and just basically experimenting whatever, no matter how minute. It keeps me happy.

Who says you have to have just one hobby? From time to time experiment new things and just stay elated. This positive vibe will help increase your productivity at work and help you stay happy at work.

Your actions speak a lot about you

People learn a lot just by watching even when they barely realize it. Act right at work. Better still act right in your personal life so much that people want to emulate you. The way you behave gives an impression of you. How you react to other people’s actions tells a lot about who you are. So at all times try to say the right thing at the right time. Act in a way that brings respect to your name. The saying goes; “actions speak louder than words.”

This weekend I decided to watch something different. I think I’ve had enough of very busy movies and just needed something entirely calm. It was worth it. Now it’s time for you to take charge of November and totally rock it. Want to know what I’ll be up to this November? I’ll be doing a lot of artwork hopefully. I’ve been having this strong urge to go artsy lately so I might as well yield to it. I always loved art as a child and was in art class in secondary school (high school). I haven’t shown art some love in recent times and I hope to do it in November, especially since it’s Fall Season.

How about you? What will you be doing this November? Were you inspired by today’s post? On the other hand, will you see the movie (Mr. Church)? If you decide to, let me know how it goes.

Wishing you the very best.

Thanks for reading.
