Welcome to Zinny Factor. My name is Ezinne Okwuosa but almost everyone calls me Zinny and I have become comfortable with that. I studied law and was called to the Nigerian bar in 2014. I thereafter practiced law for about a year before moving to Canada for studies.
While studying law in Nigeria I was not certain if I wanted to go into full-time law practice and went about convincing myself that I will go into corporate law practice after graduation. I was aware that I was going to complete my education soon and that I had to make a decision on what to do with my career path.
As a student, I delved into several things in a bid to discover what I was most passionate about. It was even more difficult because I was good at almost everything I tried to do and had fun doing it as well. To be honest, I enjoyed studying law to some extent and severally worked as an intern in a few law firms in the country. I just always knew at the back of my mind that there was something amiss.
It all struck me during my practice as a lawyer, after my call to the Nigerian bar. There were a lot of events that transpired which in turn opened my mind into pursuing a well-deserved career. I came to understand that what I wanted to do with my life was help manage people within organizations. I then moved to Canada, for a number of reasons but also to study Human Resources Management in a multicultural environment.
